Today I was considering dusting off and rearranging my comic collection BUT I got lazy and figured I’d show it off instead ๐! First thing first, my collection is actually named after one of my dear friends who I use to share and discuss comics with who is no longer here. Actually (fun fact about me), he was the very first person to give me a graphic novel to read (this was in 2005 – can you believe it). It was 300 by Frank Miller to be exact! Deep down I think he got tired of me talking about Batman ๐. I’m forever grateful that he introduced me to graphic novels, I’ve been an active reader of comics since 2000 (and comic watcher since 92′, shit that’s how much of us ended up in comics anyway those damn animated series!) however after I read 300 I entered an entirely new world.
My comic collection is one of my most prized possessions, I LOVE comics with all my heart. When I’m surrounded by them I’m at peace, I’m on cloud 9. As I’ve mentioned before I’ve been reading and collecting collections since 2000; and around 2016 I started to ease myself off of physical copies and slowly work my way to digital. I still get a physical every now and then (I can’t help it ๐).
Well, that’s enough chit-chat. Here are some of my babies that have survived my struggles and stood the test of time! I wasn’t able to get pictures of my entire collection since some comics are hidden behind others but I still took some pics so you could get an idea.
I know I have a decent amount of comics but here are some of my absolute favorites that I have both the physical and digital copies of:
- Batman: Year One
- Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
- Justice League: Tower of Babel
- Batman: The Killing Joke
- The Blackest Night
- Criminal vol 1-7
- Invincible
- The Boys
- Preacher
- 100 Bullets
What is your comic collection like? and what are some of your absolute favorites? I’d love to hear about them!
