Today we lost one of the most brilliant and unapologetic black souls to ever grace our presence! Icon, Teacher, Mentor, Writer, Legend, and Lover of Black People (as Amanda Seales so brilliantly stated) are just a few words that we can use to describe Paul Gladney aka Paul Mooney🖤!

I LOVED that man so much because he taught us how to be unapologetically black! To not be afraid to embrace and show off who we were! He never sugar-coated ANYTHING? He was going to give you the HARD truth and a REAL history lesson and he did NOT care one bit how you felt about it! He always spoke so freely and fearlessly about so many things that many wouldn’t dare speak on. UGH, how ironic that he passed on Malcolm X’s Birthday!! 😒😔

LMFAOOOO I just remembered when I was watching a stand-up he did and some white people got so uncomfortable that they got up and left (from their front row seats)… WHEN I TELL YOU THAT I HOLLERED! Man, they love us until they don’t! Anyway! Enjoy one of my favorite comedians of all time – because he wrote for my favorite comedian of all time (you see that)… RESPECT THAT MAN!
