Happy Batman Day Everyone ๐ค, I hope you guys are having an amazing weekend! We’re BACK for Day 4 of our New York Craft Cannabis Cup – Judges Edition. As a reminder, I’ll be blind reviewing 16 different strain samples. ย They won’t have any labels so I’ll be going off appearance, aroma, flavor, and effect. ย Since my scores will need to remain secret, I won’t be revealing my favorite strain until after the event. ย Also, there are 16 different strains that I will need to review by September 23rd (judges’ results are due), so I will be reviewing 2 strain samples per day. ๐
Now, let’s pick back up from where we left off yesterday! Today I decided to go with strain samples #12 and #6.๐จ
The first strain that I started off with Today was Sample #12 ๐ –
Appearance – Pretty nice green color with a light spread of orange hairs. I noticed that after I ground up this nugget there were hints of purple trying to peek out. This strain was a bit dense but she still had some fluff to her. She had a slightly spongy feel to her however when I gave her a gentle squeeze between my fingers tiny bits started to crumble. Light coating of trichomes ๐. I wasn’t too impressed with the manicure/trim ๐ค, she had quite a few mini stems in there. I should point out that when I took the nugget out of the pop-top it did have a cute shape ๐ฉ it looked like a mini island with tiny palm trees (see the first pic).
Aroma: This strain sample gave me a thyme aroma. Yes, I was getting spice rack again ๐. Once I broke this nugget down the thyme (spice rack) aroma became more potent.
Flavor: Taste matched the aroma, very pleasant taste on the inhale and exhale. Surprisingly there was also a pleasant aftertaste. ๐
Effects: This strain was hitting nice, hard, and smooth. She put me in a cool and laid-back mood. I watched a few Batman movies (in celebration of Batman Day), this high didn’t allow me to read my comics ๐คฃ. This was also the first strain sample that put me to sleep. I woke up ready to eat everything in my house ๐ฉ.
Next up is Sample #6 ๐ –
Appearance – This was actually a pretty gorgeous strain sample. Very beautiful green color with flaming orange hairs. Very nice spongy feeling, not too dry. I felt like the trichomes were lightly coated however, at some points I felt like my nugget was glistening. Manicure/trim wasn’t too bad.
Aroma: At first I got a sweet (sort of fruity) aroma when I smelled this strain sample. However, once I ground her up I got a very potent pine aroma. Once I lit up my joint I also got the pine aroma smell coming from the smoke. Maybe the terpenes were trying to give me sweet pine vibes ๐๐ฉ. Is that even a thing? ๐ฉ
Flavor: The hits were nice and smooth but definitely had some KICK to it! Of course, as previously mentioned I was able to taste the pine aroma in the smoke. Pleasant taste when I inhaled and exhaled.
Effects: I got a really nice and laid-back high from this strain sample. Super relaxing but not sleepy. I was able to get some work done, especially since I had to catch up from when I fell asleep earlier ๐ฉ๐คฃ. I was feeling pretty good but I was still a bit alert. I was definitely feeling wavy ๐๐๐.
Well, that’s it for Day 4 of my New York Craft Cannabis Cup reviews, make sure you check back tomorrow for my review on my next two strain samples๐. Enjoy your Saturday and most importantly enjoy your Batman Day – make sure you either read a comic, watch a movie or just represent with some dope accessories. I’m off to go record my scores for these two strains have a great one Family.
