TV 📺 Shows on my Watchlist for 2022

I must say, I’m pretty excited about some new and returning TV shows this year. Last year, Disney plus came in hot and real heavy with Wandavision Loki, What If and so much more. However, you know my man 50 cent wasn’t too far behind with the release of the long-awaited BMF and the return of Power: Ghost II. Oh, and let us not forget how our girl Issa ended our year off with a bang with the series finale of Insecure. Every awkward black girl in America cried their heart out that day 🥺😭!

Last year was definitely a treat, I mean let’s be real can we even top the greatness of Loki and Insecure? 😩🤷🏽‍♀️ I sure hope so, those shows definitely set the bar pretty high when it came to Tiffany’s viewing standards (yes me, I’m talking about me 😩). Anyway, let’s get into my watchlist for TV shows that I’m looking forward to seeing in 2022, some are either new or returning after a long (and I mean LONG) hiatus.

Power Book IV: Force (Starz) – Listen, I’ve patiently and I mean patiently, awaited the return of my favorite Power Character Tommy. After the greatness that 50 Cent/Courtney Kemp has given me with Power, Power Book 2 Ghost, Power Book 3 Rasing Kanan, I know without a doubt that Power Book IV: Force will be absolutely AMAZING. I’m ready to go on this wild adventure with Tommy as he makes his first stop in Chicago. OMG, I hope each season is a different season, that would be DOPE! I must say, this is my most anticipated show of 2022.

Snowfall: Season 5 (FX)– After the way we left things off in season 4, I’m super pumped for Snowfall. How is Franklin going to hold things down now that Aunt Louie, Uncle Jerome, Mommy, and Daddy aren’t by his side? OMG, and who is coming to replace Teddy? UGH, I’m stressed already and the show hasn’t even started yet! One thing for sure, I hope Franklin and Lee find some type of common ground and work things out.

P-Valley: Season 2 (Starz) – Uncle Clifford and the girls are coming back baby🙌🏽. Despite this show taking place in a Strip Club, it’s pretty special to my heart (no I wasn’t a stripper 😩🤣 but if I knew how to work a pole, shieeeeeet🤔😝). Back in 2020 when I was trying to stay up until Midnight to launch my Boutique, I watched the entire season of P-Valley so that I could stay up. No way was I falling asleep with this show on, sh*t I almost missed my midnight deadline I was so caught up. When I watch this show, I feel like I’m an Office Manager at the strip club 🤣🤣🤣. The dancers, the hype music, and Uncle Clifford just bring a certain type of energy that I need at times.

Atlanta: Season 3 (Hulu) – Listen, it’s been so long I forgot this show was coming back! I believe it’s been about four years. I’ll have to refresh myself and rewatch the previous seasons on Hulu, but don’t get it twisted I’m still excited to see what the boys are bringing for season 3. OMG, it’s literally been forever, I hope Katt Williams makes another appearance.

Hulu: Pam & Tommy (Hulu) – The wild couple of my era, and the first to drop a sex tape 😩 I’m pretty excited to see this documentary. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be filled with sex, lies, drama and of course their videotape, and I am so here for all of it! Check out the trailer below, it looks really good.

Moonknight (Disney Plus): I’m actually super pumped for this, I’m a die-hard Batman fan and Moonknight is pretty much Marvel’s version of Batman, so yeah I’m hyped for this one. This series will follow Steven Grant and mercenary Marc Spector (who is actually the same person with dual personalities) as they investigate the mysteries of the Egyptian gods. I wonder if they will also include Steven’s other personality Jake Lockley 🤔, I doubt it since only the other two have been mentioned so far. Anyway, the trailer looks amazing, however, I’m really hoping we get some kind of introduction to the Midnight Sons during this series. Wishful thinking, I know but a girl can only hope. Check out the trailer below, I have some really high expectations for this show, so they better not disappoint.

Stranger Things: Season 4 (Netflix) – All I can say is I’m patiently awaiting the return of Hopper 😝! It’s been a while since I’ve last seen my fellow mini geeks, I’m sure they will be a lot more grown and getting into a bit more trouble when I see them in season 4. I can’t wait to see what new horror tries to take over the town. Oh, hopefully, I’ll get to meet Dustin’s girlfriend this season. We were introduced to her last season, but now it’s time she’s got into some action with us.

Lord of the Rings (Amazon Prime) – Honestly, this needs no introduction. Amazon has had us waiting for a long time, so I expect greatness once this is released. I’m a HUGE fan of the book series and the movies so this TV series better bring it. Now, I haven’t seen a trailer yet, once we get closer to the release date I’ll make sure to check it out. Similar to Moonknight, I have very high hopes for the series. They better not disappoint and have me watching the movies with tears, reflecting on what could have been!

Ms. Marvel (Disney Plus) – I was first introduced to Ms. Kamala Khan back in 2014, not too long after she first launched and I was instantly hooked. After discovering that she has shapeshifting abilities, Kamala assumes the mantle of Ms. Marvel from her idol Carol Danvers after Danvers becomes Captain Marvel. I loved Kamala’s personality in the comics so I can’t wait to see what they will do with her for this series. This series will also serve as a set-up for the film The Marvels – y’all know I’m patiently waiting to see my girl Monica Rambeau back in action. OKAY!

The Boys: Season 3 (Amazon Prime) – *singing* The Boys Are Back In Town…This TV show is actually based on one of my favorite graphic novels from Garth Ennis. Trust me when I tell you, compared to the comics this show is a bit watered down, however, it’s still pretty good. It looks like our boy Homeland is on the verge of going off the deep end, whew this may not end well 😩. I’m most excited to see what Jensen Ackles will bring as Soldier Boy, I need that same arrogant energy like he gave me for the voice of Red Hood/Jason Todd. Oh yeah, I think we are going to get the infamous herogasm scene this season so buckle up folks, because trust me it’s going to be wild.

Honorable Mention: The Crown: Season 5 (Netflix) – I’m not really a huge fan of the Royal Family, however, I am a huge fan of Lady Diana💖. Technically, I’ve only watched the first and fourth seasons, I wanted to see the introduction of the Royal Family and the instruction of Lady Diana. This season they will be covering the death of Lady Diana and I want to see if they will hold any punches. They haven’t so far so I’m expecting them to keep that same energy when it comes to addressing this tragedy. One this for sure, the actress that they have playing Lady Diana this season is spot on. She better not disappoint, you know I do NOT play when it comes to Lady Di! PERIOD!

I’m still ready to fight.. you know what let me stop I’m working on a better me! 🙏🏽 This genuine Beauty is definitely (and I mean definitely) missed!
