*SPOILERS AHEAD*
Happy Tommy Day! π
I tried my best to stay up until Midnight, however, the meal and spliff that I had before bed decided against that. So, by around 10pm I was deep in dreamland. As soon as I woke up this morning, I made a hot cup of tea, grabbed two coffee cakes, rolled a spliff, kicked back, and turned on the Starz App to see what trouble Tommy got into this week.
Episode 2 definitely understood the assignment π©, as always the Power Universe never disappoints me. Well, let me take that back, I’m still not over Ghost’s death but that’s behind us. Anyway, this week my boys Tommy & Diamond finally got to meet each out. And, as I suspected they hit it right off. I’m definitely loving the chemistry between these two. I’m also glad that Tommy & Diamond finally connected, it looks like there may be some trouble brewing between Diamond and his younger brother Jenard. Jenard has been controlling CBI for the past 15 years while Diamond was incarcerated. I’m not sure Jenard is ready to step down and follow Diamond’s lead, so this will be interesting.
My guy Walter Flynn (Chibs – sorry I’m working on getting that name out of my system π©) doesn’t look like he’s in the best of health. I probably missed it, but I didn’t hear them mention what’s wrong with him. Maybe it’s something similar to what his late wife may have had. Whatever it is, it looks like he doesn’t have long to live. Walter wants to make sure he has everything in line, including his kids before he dies. Unfortunately, his kids may be a bit harder to put in line than he thought. Poor Vic is in love with a black Woman (Gloria), and Claudia wants to take over Vic’s position in the Family. Yeah, this is going to get real messy!
If you are a die-hard original Power Fan, then you noticed an old cast member making their return. It looks like our girl Liliana from season 1 (ep1-3) has been living her life out in Chicago after Ghost let her live. If you guys don’t remember who Liliana is, she’s the one that got her face cut open by Kanan’s assassin ‘Pink Sneakers’. Anyway, after Tommy had a little rumble with Liliana he finds out she’s working for the Jimenez Cartel (original Power fans, we also remember that Spider Logo). Now, last we heard of the Jimenez Cartel, Kanan killed Diego and Jason killed Alicia. So, now we will see who took the Cartel over in their absence.

Before we head out, did you guys notice that JP’s son/Tommy’s nephew D-Mac is the one that is shooting up JP’s Jazz Club? It looks like he may be upset that his Father is no longer in his life or that his Father is gay. We shall see. I do have a feeling since D-Mac is in the street life, Tommy may be the one to help get through to him and rekindle their relationship.
Another great action-packed episode. I can’t wait to see what happens next week!
